Nothing much happens during summer when you have no school to rush back to at the end of August :)
Luckily Nureen's birthday is this month. The entire family headed to the UKM football field on Saturday to celebrate her birthday, the conventional picnic way complete with nasi lemak, air sirap, tea, cake, sandwiches, tarts, frisbee and soccer balls.
It was a nice family affair, something we haven't done in the past 10 years or so. Along played soccer with the twins and I was very much reminded of our early years where us 4 siblings would play soccer in our backyard in Norwich. Along and Angah would team up with their friends from school and Akak and I would become goalies. Ah, those where the days. When at the end of each day we would all be covered with dirt, grass stains and scratches.
We spent about an hour feasting and playing games before heading back. Even so it felt like we had spent a whole day outside.
Plus, at 23, playing frisbee and football with 2 and 5 year olds are a lot more exhausting :)
